2019 CSR Report Showcases Kohl’s Commitment to Associates, Customers and Communities
At Kohl’s, we have a responsibility to make a difference and do good for our associates, customers and communities nationwide. Today, Kohl’s released its 2019 CSR Report, which demonstrates our purpose to inspire and empower families to lead fulfilled lives through efforts in philanthropy, environmental sustainability, workplace practices and governance. While we are currently navigating the COVID-19 pandemic and these extraordinary circumstances, we want to reflect on our efforts from 2019 as we assess how we can make a positive impact in 2020.
As we look back, below are a few key highlights from Kohl’s 2019 CSR report, available now on Corporate.Kohls.com.
Building National Partnerships
In 2019, Kohl’s announced new partnerships with two national organizations, Alliance for a Healthier Generation and Boys & Girls Clubs of America, to develop and implement critical programming aimed at improving the physical and emotional well-being of children and families.
Setting Sustainability Goals
Kohl’s set sustainability goals in 2019 that include quantitative targets focused on three key areas: climate action, waste and recycling, and sustainable sourcing. Kohl’s is committed to monitoring and reporting performance and progress against these goals, and progress to date is outlined in the report.
Committing to Diversity & Inclusion
To illustrate Kohl’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, Kohl’s CEO Michelle Gass signed the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™ pledge in 2019, joining over 900 leaders from top organizations across the country in an effort to advance diversity and inclusion within the workplace.
