Kohl’s Stores Celebrate Re-Opening Celebrations Following Natural Disasters

Stores in Texas and California Offer Customers Newly Renovated and Redesigned Shopping Environments

Two Kohl’s stores are back open for shoppers! Our stores in both Santa Rosa, California and Humble, Texas sustained damage as a result of recent natural disasters, but are now ready to once again serve their communities. Kohl’s associate teams have been hard at work getting the stores ready for customers and were thrilled to debut the newly renovated and redesigned stores during grand re-opening celebrations on Saturday, March 24.

Kohl’s Humble location, closed since September 2017 due to damage from Hurricane Harvey, and the Santa Rosa store, closed since October 2017 due to damage sustained from California wildfires, offer the same amazing product and easy shopping experience our customers know and love in a refreshed store environment. Additionally, part of the Humble, Texas store redesign, Kohl’s opted to rightsize the location based on customer and inventory needs to operate more efficiently and provide a more engaging customer experience.

Kohl’s is committed to supporting the communities where associates live and work, including in times of need. In 2017 alone, Kohl’s donated $2 million to the American Red Cross for hurricane relief, and associates participated in more than 230 volunteer events, logging more than 3,800 volunteer hours supporting disaster relief efforts. We are proud to make a difference in the communities we serve.
