Sephora at Kohl’s Surpasses $1.4 Billion in Sales, More than 100 New Shops to Open This Year
Kohl's provides update on the success of its partnership with Sephora, projects more than $2 billion in sales by 2025
Company will add approximately 140 new small-format Sephora at Kohl’s shops this year
Kohl’s partnership with Sephora continues to shine, as the company today shares that Sephora at Kohl’s sales exceeded $1.4 billion in 2023, and based on our current trajectory, we now believe that we will surpass our previously shared goal of $2 billion in sales by 2025. The momentum – fueled by growth experienced in both large and small-format shops – is expected to continue this year with approximately 140 new small-format locations opening by summer.

Bringing Prestige Beauty to Americans Nationwide
When Kohl’s announced its partnership with Sephora in 2020, the company committed to bringing prestige beauty to neighborhoods across the country, making it accessible to more Americans than ever before while enhancing Kohl’s customer experience. The strategy is not only resonating with existing customers, but it’s bringing in new customers that are shopping more frequently as well, and has seen a more than 90% total sales growth year-over-year.
By this summer, Sephora at Kohl’s will add approximately 140 new 750-square-foot small-format shops in 40 states. The smaller-format experience offers customers expertly-curated assortments to fit their beauty needs from the most recognizable and coveted brands in makeup, skincare, hair and fragrance.
Shoppers will notice a curated merchandising approach in the smaller-format Sephora at Kohl’s shops, with products being displayed together by category rather than brand, creating a simplified shopping experience for customers. From best-selling fragrances to mascaras and foundations, this new format allows for easy navigation and product discovery during every trip.
The addition of this year’s new locations brings the total Sephora at Kohl’s fleet to more than 1,000 stores and is the latest step in achieving a full Kohl’s chain rollout by 2025.
